When I see these images, I almost wonder what the photograph's goal is. Personally, I find many of Ed Burtynsky's photos as beautiful as they are frightening. I think this is especially the case with the first and third picture you posted. The surreal colors and shapes have a certain beauty to them.
These images are insane. It makes you realize how much we are using and wasting and how it is ruining the planet.
