Werner Boote searches for evidence to prove the
existence of “healthy” plastic. He believes that such a popular material must
be user-friendly. Unfortunately, he discovers study after study indicating the deadly
hazards of so many chemicals. He is left with just one choice: to document the
shocking secrets of the plastics manufacturing companies.
In one scene, Boote describes his difficulties
scheduling an interview with plastic manufacturing corporations. Representatives
refuse to comment, leaving Boote with no evidence in favor of the plastic companies.
In another scene, Boote attempts to confront the manufacturers with 700 studies
indicating the poisonous nature of plastic, but he is simply disregarded.

Although this documentary is naturally biased,
Boote truly attempted to address both sides of the issue, which is vital to a
strong argument. Boote presented a very honest, almost “reality-check” natured
documentation of the current dilemma in plastic production.
